In the suburbs of Mumbai a beautiful bird watching site called nhava shiva recently what I saw was a brahminy kite. The brahminy kite is a attractive bird similar looks to the American bald eagle, but with a chestnut plumage. It has white head and breast that are faintly streaked and black wing tips. It is best sighted at inland and coastal waters. The food is mainly stranded fish, frogs, insects, lizards, mudskippers, small snakes. The brahminy kite was formely known as red backed sea eagle in Australia.
