Near a lake, on the fringes of a Saal-dominated deciduous forest.
Notes (optional)
The species is seen for a few days every year in Kanha. Possibly a passage migrant, migrating from the coast on one side to the other. (The photo was clicked from far away, and is only a record shot. But since no records of the species from Central India are currently uploaded on the website, thought it would be good addition.)
